FREE Morning Virtues
/Morning Virtues offers FLEXIBILITY, but, we don’t want you to just take our word for how much we love Morning Virtues, we want you to try a month on us! So, we are offering Morning Virtues: Courage free.
In our different home schools, we are usually working with multiple children and multiple ages. Often, there can be a struggle to incorporate the “riches” into our homeschool day in a way that is meaningful from our youngest all the way up to our oldest.
Perhaps “all the extras” become last priority as we simply try to get done what we deem as necessary (and often that’s math and reading). While, sometimes, this is absolutely okay and simply indicative of the season we are in, if you’re like me, you find yourself craving the memories and depth that a purposeful time together can create.
This is a lot of the reasons Morning Virtues was created! We wanted something convenient, but something valuable, deep and rich. Children that span 6-18 years can enjoy the same beautiful and wholesome curriculum that lasts 30-45 min a day!
Each volume includes:
A schedule that allows for flexibility. You can choose to diligently complete the 28 day schedule in only 4 weeks, making room for other morning time opportunities, or you can implement morning virtues 3-4 times a week to fit your schedules with outings and co-ops. This would give you two full months to make it through the 28 days before the next volume is available.
Bible Readings + Catechism: Each volume walks through portions of the bible that carry themes of the volume’s virtue. We provide a Bible reading guide to help us learn background information, key themes, and a summary of the reading.
Book List: Each volume features two primary books that have been selected for their reflection of the virtue of focus. We also include additional reading options for a variety of ages.
Guidance on how to study composers and artists. Compositions can be listened to strictly at morning time, but we also give tips for listening throughout the week. We give step-by-step tips to a Charlotte Mason artist study approach and also include articles over both the composer and artist that provide valuable and rich background information about their lives and works.
Art Prints: We include beautifully curated art prints by the volume’s artist. We encourage integrating the artwork into your homes and lives as it becomes part of your family culture to notice and discuss beautiful things.
Handicrafts + Story: Meghann Dibrell from Rooted Childhood provides the sweetest stories along with beautiful handicrafts for each volume. Not only are they meaningful and fun, but beautiful. They are the perfect crafts to work on while listening to a read-aloud, a composition from the volume’s composer, or whenever it makes sense!
Meaningful Menu: Ashley from Meaningful Menus creates a gorgeous morning time menu for each volume - and they couldn’t be more convenient! They include the hymn, sonnet, poetry, folk song, and more in a convenient spot to help make morning time “open and go.”
Memory Statement Cards: Memory statement cards are a hallmark of Gentle + Classical Programs. These can be added to your memory statement board if you have one, or you can simply slide them into your menu cover or binder. The catechisms and memory verses are shortened or abbreviated from the versions found in the Meaningful Menu - and on purpose! They are meant to make the same valuable, rich, information more accessible to younger children or those with shorter memories. You get to choose which versions work best for your family!
